Hello Book Lover:
On this special occasion I have the honor of sharing my opinion about the Book Star:
“Roman Crazy” written by Nina Bocci & Alice Clayton.
Roman Crazy was a book that I wanted to read. There are good reviews about it and my curiosity was increasing with every comment of some readers that I know by social media. Plus, as Gabriel Series Fan Podcast we had the pleasure to have Nina Bocci in our show during #SRGratitudeParty months ago, and she is a lovely woman. I don’t have the pleasure to interacting with Alice Clayton yet, but I hope one day I can.
To start my review, I have to say that I really liked this book (actually, I gave it 5 of 5 stars on Goodreads). I laughed a lot too. It was really entertaining and easy to read. It was nice to read about second chances in life and I was a little jealous for the good luck that Avery Bardot had in her second chance, although, I also think it was well deserved. She is a strong woman and I admired her decision near the end of the book. It’s not easy to decide between the reason and the heart. In the other hand, I was really moved and surprised about how tender and sexy, at the same time, Marcello Bianchi was. He won my heart since the beginning of the story. To be honest, I thought that Marcello’s attitude toward Avery would be really hard and serious after seeing her again after many years separated, at least he had reasons to be like that but he really wanted answers and when you are in love you can try to fix things that are broken, somehow.
I really enjoy when you can read sex scenes and they leave you something for the imagination. Sometimes, you do not need to read explicit sex scenes to enjoy the sexual act between the characters, and for me that’s nice.
Lately, I’ve read books set in Italy and at the end of every book I feel like I know a little bit more about the country, the food, the art and the culture. That’s something really nice because you can learn about all those things through the eyes and writing of the authors, and that’s the beauty of reading books from different parts of the world.
Another thing that I liked was the friendship between Avery and Daisy. They were like my real friends with the same sense of humor and the same wise advices in difficult times. Real friendship is having a friend far away or really close to you and feel the same love and the same confidence to talk about anything without restrictions.
I’ll say that if you want to relax while reading, this novel is a good option to do that. You’ll enjoy the adventures of Avery and Marcello around Rome and beyond.
Happy reading, book lover!
